RV rentals

Here are a few rental tips you'd be wise to consider before you rush to find RV rental companies and start comparing prices. 189178_camper_1.jpg.

These will make sure you spend the least amount of time and money getting the best option for you.

So without further ado, here's the list of RV rental tips for you:

  • Be sure you're comparing apples to apples. When comparison shopping for RV rentals, first of all read reviews. There's nothing like a review from a fellow camper to understand which company is the best fit for you. And don't neglect finding out about their customer service since it's vital for your trip
  • Figure out the type of RV you need. You are going to stay in your RV for a relatively long time, while you're driving as well as while you have down time. So think about the space carefully. Don't go overboard with a huge RV but make sure there's ample room to be comfortable for long.
Also, if it's a really long trip, check out the most modern luxurious (typically A class) rentals for maximum comfort.
  • It's best to be safe and purchase extra mileage BEFORE starting your trip than after.
It will be a lot cheaper
  • Make sure your RV has everything you need. Dinner table? TV? Shower? GPS?
Don't assume anything. Check to make sure
  • Find out about breakdowns and insurance packages. What happens in a breakdown situation? Who compensates you and for what? Does the company offer an alternate RV? Find out their policy.
Also learn about insurance coverage - what it includes and what it doesn't. You don't want to be surprised while on the road
  • Make sure you can drive the RV safely before committing to rent it. This is not like driving your car and different models will drive differently.
